China's efforts to promote clean energy are on its way of building brand new hydro power stations with state of the art electrical storage, all strategically located in Central and East China.

According to Terradaily, the construction began in the provinces of Anhui, Henan and Shandong. All three power stations are being built by the world's largest electric company State Grid Co. The investment put in the said project is estimated to be around 21.7 billion Yuan or $3.55 billion. The project, which is set to be completed by 2021, has a capacity of 3.6 million kilowatts, enough to help reduce China's "green house gas emissions" and million tones of carbon dioxide.

China's problem about thermal power plants generated from coal has now been reportedly answered by the presence of these newly built hydro power stations. This non-fossil fuel power generator will contribute largely on their environmental quest to diminish toxic gasses and produce alternative solutions to it.

State Grid Co has a total of 19 hydro power plants under their supervision, in which, 12 of them are still under construction. By the year 2020, an estimated total of 38 million kilowatts will be able to consolidate and produce clean fuel.

Reuters reported that China also made an agreement with Russia to build hydro power plants in Russia. The deal was made in the presence of China's Hydropower developer China Three Gorges Corp, alongside Russia's hydro power firm RusHydro.

According to Three Gorges Corp, "The 320 megawatt power plant would be located on Russia's Bureya river in the east and would help control floods in the regions." China, on the other hand, will take advantage of the plant's generated electric as it will be transmitted back to them. The deal was made during the celebration of the end of World War II in Moscow, where the Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping were both in attendance.

China continues to develop their power sources through the promotion off hydro pwer plants, wind power, nuclear power and solar powers.
