Korea has earned quite the popularity all thanks to their dazzling stars. Now, it seems the Federation of Korean Entertainment Industry is planning on a Hallyu-themed island. Two choices apparently are the boy group, EXO, and rising superstar, Kim Soo Hyun. The big question is what would Hallyu fans prefer?

The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) had thought of such idea after a recent drop in tourism, which the MERS virus is to blame. According to reports by KDramaStarz, FKI is planning on turning an abandoned island in Korea to a Hallyu-themed island.

"Let's make uninhabited islands dedicated to Kim Soo Hyun or EXO island," shared the rep of FKI in the report, adding, "FKI sees the opportunity for foreigners who come to Korea for the Hallyu Wave."

Kim Soo Hyun and EXO having been chosen only means both have quite the impact internationally. FKI hopes to attract attention from Hallyu stars in Japan and China particularly. Of course, there are still a number of regulations and rules to be discussed and met before the Hallyu-themed island would push to fruition.

As for Korean Hallyu fans, some have had mixed reactions regarding the island being named as EXO or Kim Soo Hyun. It is obvious that not all Hallyu Korean stars are big fans of EXO alone or that of Kim Soo Hyun for that matter. Some have suggested simply naming the island as a generic Hallyu park. Trending comments on the reports stated, "Rather than naming a whole island after a star, create a small Hallyu park on it."

In other news concerning Kim Soo Hyun, after the end of "The Producers" the Korean star has gone on to work on another film. Soo Hyun will soon film scenes for the action thriller "Real." In fact, casting for the two female leads set to star alongside him will also begin.

"Real" tells the tale of Soo Hyun's character, Lee Jung-seop, who works for a group of gangsters sending out threats. He also manages to solve a number of problems that arise for his clients. This is Soo Hyun's comeback film after his big screen debut in 2013 in the film "Secretly, Greatly."
