Oasis said in one of the interviews, "Many doctors move to private practice now because they feel the pressure is too big at public hospitals. But the people who really need help are the grass roots. To help them, it's important to serve at public hospitals."

According to South China Morning Post, Oasis and Kelvin, 19, grow-up in Tsuen Wan public housing together with their father who is a bus driver, working for 12 hours daily and earning HK $20,000 per month only to support the needs of their family. Despite their situation and family background, the twins pursue their dream and let their condition not the main reason for them to continue. In fact, the Yip brothers achieved the top score during the last year's diploma on the secondary education examination.

Furthermore, Yip brothers won three scholarships which will sustain their tuition on the first year of their studies in Hong Kong University in which the tuition will cost around HK$42,100 annually. One of the scholarships they have is the Springboard Scholarship of HKU. This is designed to help less fortunate but brilliant students.

The current condition of their life gives them an inspiration to study harder in order for them to reach their goals and aspirations. Aside from that, their life status gave them an idea what are the problems that most less-privileged patients are facing. One of the twins shared, "Before the DSE exam, I caught flu and my ear was infected. I waited at the emergency ward for five to six hours."

Compared to other medical students, the twins are not interested to work in private sector right after their graduation. They wish to work on public health hospitals and help those who are in need. Especially now that doctors are starting to look for greener pasture, less fortunate patients are taking for granted. Yip brothers are another pride of the country!
