Upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue Has a Lot of Surprises

World of Games, a Swiss retailer of games and game consoles, posted a listing that suggested the next "Assassin's Creed" title is "Assassin's Creed Rogue."

When game developer Ubisoft revealed "Assassin's Creed Unity" for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 earlier in March, rumors were also circulating that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will receive a new game in the "Assassin's Creed" franchise, according to Gamespot.

The rumored game is allegedly set in North America and the gamer follows Shay, a Templar. In the video game franchise, the Order of the Knights Templar are the mortal enemies of the Assassin Brotherhood.

While playing a Templar is not new, as gamers played one in "Assassin's Creed 3," having a one that is the main protagonist is a big change in the design of the game. I

f the alleged title of the game is considered, it suggests Shay could eventually betray the Templar group in the story of the game, according to Gamers FTW.

The reports also suggest the game will let gamers sail the Atlantic Ocean  and journey to New York. Sources describe this as a combination of the "Freedom Cry" downloadable content from the "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" and "Assassin's Creed 3."

Characters from the previous games in the franchise also allegedly make an appearance in "Assassin's Creed Rogue." Included in this line-up are Adewale from "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" and Haytham Kenway from "Assassin's Creed 3."

While "Assassin's Creed Unity" is set to be released on Oct. 28 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the rumored "Assassin's Creed" game will be reportedly launched in fall for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
