As this year's MINECON concluded, gamers have a lot to look forward to. The conference witnessed two important announcements: first, Minecraft Story Mode, the new version by Telltale games is expected soon, and second, Minecraft confirmed that it will soon be launching a version for Windows 10.

According to NDTV gadgets, the conclusion of MINECON 2015 celebrated the unique culture of gamers developed exclusively around the game of Minecraft. However, this celebration was not the only reason to rejoice as gamers welcomed two major announcements during this conference.

The first is the much awaited launch of Telltale Games Minecraft Story Mode, a new and compact version of the game that has its own plot and therefore a very loyal set of followers. The second important announcement came as a huge sigh of relief for the players that rely on the Microsoft operating system, as the makers have announced its  first ever version for Windows 10. The new version is expected to hit markets next month itself.

"Minecraft" has gained popularity as it is an open-ended platform where players are given the freedom of designing their own stories and make their game more interesting. However, Telltale Games is amongst the top notch developers when it comes to developing plots on this platform. Their previous feat include "The Walking Dead," "The Wolf Among Us" and "Game of Thrones" games, as well as older classics like "Monkey Island" and "Sam & Max." Now, gamers will look forward to Telltale's work on the Minecraft platform.

In "Minecraft: Story Mode," players will get to role-play as Jesse, the character voiced by comedian Patton Oswalt. He will be battling the baddies in the night time with his group of friends and will fight to save the world from destruction.

"The Minecraft: Story Mode" will be available on PC, Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android. Additionally, as the world gears up for the rollout of Microsoft Windows 10, "Minecraft" will be launching "Minecraft" Windows 10 Edition Beta for the gamers. The testing version will then be developed and soon introduced as a permanent feature for gamers.

Meanwhile, the MINECONE Convention was a two day ceremony attended by some of the famous gamers from all over the globe. The event sold 10,000 tickets and was completely houseful with people queuing up for a pic with their favorite gamer, as confirmed by Slash Gear.
