Lay was recently caught looking at a computer screen that was showing Tao's face. The only active Chinese member of EXO, Lay, was visiting a studio for a live broadcast, and it looks like Tao had visited the same studio for his own solo recording.

The photo of Lay looking at Tao's face showing on the computer screen was posted on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, by a Chinese TV station's executive, according to Korea Boo. The report quoted the caption of the photo as saying, "Zhang Yixing [Lay's real name] came to Star Space for the live broadcast today. It is airing now. Have you seen it?"

The report does not reveal details about Lay's live broadcast or details about Tao's recording. There are no reports that indicate that the two EXO-M members met at the studio.

Meanwhile, Tao has unfollowed Lay along with other EXO members on his instagram account. He, however, continues to follow Lay's official Weibo account but has unfollowed another EXO member Sehun. Also the lead rapper of EXO-M has almost cut his umbilical cord with EXO, dropping "EXO Chinese member" from his Weibo profile description and unfollowing the official Weibo account of EXO.

SM Management has removed him from the official Facebook page of EXO-M. Lay, however, continues to actively participate with Chinese-Korean idol group EXO and also undertake solo activities in his home country, China.

EXO originally consisted of 12 members who were divided into two groups, EXO-K and EXO-M. There were four Chinese members in EXO-M, Lay, Luhan, Kris, and Tao. Luhan and Kris quit the group last year while Tao is set to make his solo debut in China on July 23. Lay now remains the only Chinese member of the group who is actively participating as EXO and not yet threatening to go solo like his other three countrymen.

Lay has been hitting the headlines as the youngest member of the popular Chinese variety program "Go Fighting!"  And he is all set to be part of the upcoming EXO concert "EXO PLANET #2 The EXO'luXion in BEIJING," scheduled to be held from July 18 to 19.
