University president John Thrasher expressed concern for the national attention the school is getting for the incidents.

Thrasher revealed that FSU will require student-athletes to take a course in social responsibilities-- giving them additional background in consequences of actions on the understanding that with social media everything could be scrutinized.

The school will also add another post in its compliance department to oversee the development of their athletes.

Good behavior will also be encourages by bringing in speakers and former players to influence athletes about character.

Motivational speaker Tyrone White spoke to the team last week.

Others who have spoken Chris Herren, whose basketball career was destroyed by seven drug-related felony arrests; a member of the Navy SEALs; and ex-FSU players who are successful in their careers.

In addition, the school will scrutinize the background of incoming players.

While the coaching staff is already doing a background check, Thrasher said that the school would want ro reassure themselves that all aspects of their background are checked.

The first of the incidents involved freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson, who, in a video released by state attorney's office, could be seen punching a woman in the face last month at a Tallahassee bar.

Johnson has been dismissed from the team.

Just a few days after, running back Dalvin Cook was charged for allegedly punching a 21-year-old woman in the face several times outside a bar last month.

Cook, a sophomore, allegedly punched a 21-year-old woman in the face several times outside a Florida bar on 23 June, the night before FSU quarterback De'Andre Johnson was caught on camera punching a woman inside a different bar.

It happened after the woman refused to give her number to one of Cook's friends, The Guardian reported.

Cook has been suspended indefinitely.

Thrasher said that coach Jimbo Fisher understood the gravity of the situation and has outlined some ideas that the university plans to implement.

Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey said he was shocked to see the video of Johnson, a friend, punching a woman, reorts the Palm Beach Post.

Ramsey and kicker Roberto Aguayo expressed their disapproval Monday of acts by a couple of teammates and stood behind Fisher and supported the restrictions and programs he implemented.
