In a bid to lure its users with a better accessibility experience, Google has introduced a new feature called "Your Timeline" that will allow users to re-trace old data, which includes access to past location data, correlated with other types of information.

According to Computer World, Google has announced that it is rolling out a new version of the extremely popular maps feature which is being called Your Timeline. With this new feature, users will be able to trace all their old data which will include information about the journeys that they have undertaken, the places that they have been to and all their other details.

However, the application has received mixed reviews from the users. Experts are saying this is a feature that users may love at first sight or end up hating forever. This is because, while some are calling it an excellent tool to access all their old data, others are looking at it as a direct invasion of privacy.

It is being called a breach of privacy because user's data will now be available online. Basically, Google will now be able to track the user locations everywhere. The setting of the new map is quite similar to the Google calendar scroll down option. Additionally, this app is capable of pulling photographs from your records and put it up on your timeline. On its part, Google is claiming that all the information being taken by this application is going to be kept strictly private.

Another report on The Verge also points out that users are allowed to turn off the location settings and reduce accessibility of their app, depending on their requirements. For those hooked on to the search engines services, this option may seem just like another choice. However, the technology community is viewing it differently. Recently, Google also introduced a privacy hub for all its users, giving them a more customised experience. No doubt, the appearance of the app is excellent and in accordance to the design of Google's other apps.
