"Mission: Impossible 5" continues at its steady blockbuster-pace, trailing far behind is the super hero film "Fantastic Four" making less than expected in the box office.

For two straight weeks now, Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise keeps his spot in the box office with his action franchise "Mission: Impossible" bringing in millions more in both domestic and overseas earnings.

In India, locals flocked to see the movie allowing it to earn $6.5 Million and become the fourth highest opening ever for a Hollywood film in this country, Variety reported.

To date, "Mission: Impossible- Rogue Nation" records at $109 Million domestically, and $157 internationally. Producers confess they owe much of its success to Cruise playing the lead character of Ethan Hunt.

Cruise worked not only as lead star but was also the film's producer. He was involved in, "The shooting, the set pieces, the postproduction work, everything," Paramount's Megan Colligan told The Wrap.

Ironically, Cruise's past movies including "Jack Reacher" and "Edge of Tomorrow" did not come close to his recent success.

However, movie analysts explain that it is undeniably the Hollywood actor's special connection with the "Mission: Impossible" series that sets it apart.

"He [Cruise] has created a franchise that is as much tied to his persona, his mystique, his stunts... as any star can hope for," Paul Dergarabedian of Rentrak told the new site.

Meanwhile, movie analysts say "Fantastic Four", which opened at $26 Million, is one of the lowest any comic-book movie has had after 2013's "The Wolverine" that came at $53.1 Million, USA Today reported.

Movie analyst Jeff Bock called it "disastrous" saying that this should not be happening to a superhero film in this day and age, he told the news site.

Similarly, supposed star-studded movies earlier expected to be a hit but failed the mark are Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Terminator: Genysis" and Mark Wahlberg's "Ted 2."
