"Resident Evil 6" could well be the final installment of the extremely popular movie series that has been entertaining audience for many years now. Ali Larter, the actress who portrays Claire Redfield, has said that with the 6th part, the makers are planning to wrap it up all.

According to a report on Vine Report, Ali Larter, the actress who portrays the character of Claire Redfield in the "Resident Evil" movie series, has said that the sixth part titled "The Final Chapter" will be the last installment. The production for the movie is scheduled to start in South Africa next month. Introduced thirteen years ago, the "Resident Evil" series While Ali said that she was forbidden to reveal details, she confirmed that the script is extremely interesting assuring fans that they will enjoy it. Larter made her first appearance in the popular movie series way back in 2007 in " Resident Evil: Extinction" and came back in "Resident Evil: Afterlife" as well.

In her statement, Ali Larter said that there are very few movies that get a chance to be made in six different series and that she was extremely proud to be a part of the series. Additionally, the movie is amongst the few series where the female lead gets more prominence. Those who are participating it get to contribute their bit towards introducing this change. As for the release date of the movie, rumours indicate that fans are speculating a date of 2nd September this year or January 27 in 2017.

The movie series is inspired by a video game and is currently considered amongst the highest earning movie series franchisee inspired by a game. So far,the series has managed to make almost 915 million dollars from its movie series. The last movie to be released in this series was "Resident Evil: Retribution" which came out in 2012, as confirmed on a report on Coming Soon.

Though there are no concrete details about the plot of the movie, it is being speculated that the final installment will see Alice (the lead protagonist portrayed by Mila Jovovich) and her gang infiltrate the hive with one mission and that will be to stop the queen from extending her spread and infect the human population.
