Creator Scott Cawthon refused to delve into details but has confirmed that the upcoming Halloween version of "Five Nights At Freddy's" will include new challenges but will lack the opening of the box, a crucial element in the previous versions of the game.

According to Kotaku, ScottCawthon revealed that the next edition of the game is all set to come out on October, which is packed with more adventure than its predecessors. However, the report that picked up details from Cawthon's Steam Community Post, also says that the creator has purposefully decided to avoid opening the box in this series as he feels gamers have not been able to unravel the mysteries of "Five Nights At Freddy's: 4."

In his post, Scott also goes on to reveal that he is currently working on a new game as well. He states that even though he has a plan in his mind, getting a playable demo out by end of October seems like a daunting task. Nevertheless, Scott has assured fans that he will give them a sneak peak into the content even though the game may not be ready.

Another report on VG 247 explains Scott's decision to remove the opening of the box sequence which was a signature move in previous versions, quoting the creator as saying that gamers have still not been able to unlock all the mysteries in the fourth part. Scott goes on to add that in case of the first, second and third part, the gamers were quick to decode the story and YouTubers ensured that the details went viral. But in the fourth part, Scott Cawthon said he had been disappointed because so far no one has been able to guess the story. Due to this response, the creator is said to have overlooked the option for the fifth part.

The box appears at the end of the game when players finish the seventh night in "Five Nights At Freddy's : 4"  but no one seems to have figured out how to open it.
