Adrien "The Problem" Broner (30-2, 22 KOs) and Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) made quite different approaches to promote their upcoming fight on October 3rd, which can be seen by many as somewhat in the middle of odd and wise.

The 26-year-old Cincinnati native promised not to talk to reporters and not do interviews anymore until his next fight is done while the 32-year-old Russian sought former four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr. to help him train for Broner.

During the bout's press conference on Tuesday, Broner ended up saying one word, the N-word, which is actually not worthy of mention in any piece of writing. The three-time world champion utilized a spokesperson named "White Ticket" to speak for him during the presser, as reported by Boxing News 24.

But when White Ticket unceremoniously stammered in the middle of the statement while trying to say a word that began with the letter "N", Broner saved his assistant and went to the podium himself to say it.

The Problem's "vow of silence" was triggered by a recent social media war with ESPN writer Dan Rafael, who wrote that Broner is getting another title shot even after his lackluster performance against Shawn Porter last June.

Of course, the former WBA welterweight champ was offended and posted a barrage of tweets headed towards the senior writer's direction. The rant ended with a vow that says he will only talk after the fight with Allakhverdiev.

He also declared that he wanted to have "no more press conferences, no nothing" in his last tweet.

SB Nation indicated that Broner's assistant specifically mentioned Rafael to be the "sole reason" why his boss is shutting up his mouth, to which the ESPN writer responded with another tweet saying that he "did the world a favor" with a digital laugh.

Meanwhile, Boxing Scene reported that Allakhverdiev got the assistance of Jones during his training.

The 46-year-old fighter, who was world-renowned for being the only boxer in history to win a heavyweight title while starting as a light middleweight, is currently in Russia training not only Allakhverdiev but also brothers Dmitry and Fedor Chudinov.

Curiously, there were reports that the American Jones had talked to Russian president Vladimir Putin to seek Russian citizenship.
