Brazilian sensation Neymar is showing that it is "no Messi, no problem" for Barcelona as the Seleção captain continues to be in top form for the La Liga giant both in domestic and continental competitions.

The 23-year-old Brazil international scored five goals in the last three matches for the Blaugrana, two games in the Spanish top flight, against Getafe and Villarreal, and one versus BATE Borisov in the Champions League.

During Barça's most recent contest, Neymar had a double against Villarreal at the Camp Nou on Sunday, sandwiching teammate Luis Suárez's penalty kick, to lead the rout of the Yellow Submarine, 3-0, according to Caught Offside.

With the win, Luis Enrique's side reclaimed the top spot on the La Liga table after Real Madrid's shocking 2-3 loss to Sevilla also on Sunday at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.

Neymar also had a double against Belarusian club BATE and a goal versus El Geta to try and steady the Catalan ship while Lionel Messi is still sidelined. He is getting ample support from teammate Luis Suárez, who scored three goals in the same period of time.

Meanwhile, Arsenal FC is speculated to rival Barça for the services of Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi when the winter transfer window opens in January.

TalkSPORT reported that the Gunners are planning to outbid Barcelona to bring the Argentina international to England as manager Arsene Wenger looks to improve his scoring options for the second half of the season.

However, it is rumored that the 30-year-old forward is more eager to join compatriot Messi and Javier Mascherano at the Camp Nou next year than to transfer anywhere else.

Lavezzi's contract with Les Parisiens will expire in summer next year's and he would be available for a free transfer then. But Enrique is said to be planning to bid for him this January rather than wait for his deal to end.
