Cavaliers' All-Star power forward Kevin Love is the subject of trade rumors again this early in the regular season even as Cleveland is off to a roaring 8-2 start and is currently sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference summit.

An article by Brian Geltzeiler on Sports Illustrated's The Cauldron recently listed "four NBA stars who could be on the move before the trade deadline" and the three-time All-Star was one of those on the list alongside Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins, Indiana's Paul George, and Miami's Chris Bosh.

Geltzeiler cited Love's inability to "fit in" with the Cavs last season as the prime reason why Dan Gilbert may decide to let him go this season. The eventual re-signing of another highly-paid power forward Tristan Thompson - a recognized pet of LeBron James - would make trading Love a lot easier for Gilbert as his position would be ably filled.

Furthermore, with James playing the no. 4 spot more frequently as David Blatt opts for a faster and smaller lineup on the floor, Geltzeiler noted that "Love was largely limited to being a standstill shooter", which is noticeably an overpaid role for the 2011 Most Improved Player.

The article also mentioned that Love's reduced function in Blatt's system "speaks to the Cavaliers needs, at least last season, being different than what Love offered", which could make him the odd man out in Cleveland if the trend continues.

Rumors of a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers are currently buzzing online with Love predicted to be dealt in exchange for the Lakers' starting cduo of Roy Hibbert and Julius Randle, which the RealGM Trade Checker considers a successful trade.

Technically, that trade scenario is only possible next summer when the restriction on Hibbert expires. Love is also restricted from being traded until after December 14 this year, which is three months after he was signed as a free agent.

Besides, the Lakers would be risking a lot by trading their promising big man Randle for Love, who has not yet proven that he can lead a contending team deep in the postseason and win games at a high-level.

The trade would be awesome for Cleveland, though, as Randle could complement their other young players -- Thompson and Timofey Mozgov -- while Hibbert would be the veteran player to guide their growth both on and off the court.
