Retired undefeated world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has made headlines again after offering to help train fallen MMA star Ronda Rousey with regards to improving her boxing skills.

"I want Ronda Rousey to hold her head up high and don't let this discourage you. If you need help as far as with boxing, I'm here to help you," Mayweather said in a recent lengthy interview with Fight Hype.

"It's all about timing and inches. Her ground game is unbelievable. She'll be okay," the pay-per-view king added.

Mayweather and Rousey have been engaged in verbal fights over the past couple of years. Critics say it is one of the ways that the latter built the popular celebrity brand that she enjoys right now.

"I commend (UFC president) Dana White and the Fertitta brothers for being able to take a female and make her so huge in a contact sport," Mayweather said. "I commend them for that, but she had to do her part also, and she did her part. If I was her, I would've used Floyd Mayweather's name also. She's supposed to do that. It's business, it's not personal, and I understand business."

28-year-old Rousey was completely dominated by current Women's Bantamweight champion Holly Holm during their UFC 193 title match in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday. Rousey was knocked out cold with a high kick to the jaw in the second round.

Rousey's lack of boxing skills was evident during the fight as Holm broke her face down with right jabs and straight lefts that took her out of her game from the onset.

Following the devastating loss, Rousey has been given a six-month medical suspension by the UFC as a precaution for a possible head injury, The Score reports.

Rousey was also advised to stay away from full-fight contact for 45 days and in-ring action for 60 days.
