The 2016 Toyota Prius has got auto experts and enthusiasts excited about its release. The new Prius sports some minor upgrades. Just like previous editions, the new Prius boasts excellent gas mileage as well as practicality.

The 2016 Toyota Prius is more rigid and has less body roll especially in tight turns. Toyota also upgraded the Prius' cargo hold. The biggest improvement is in terms of gas mileage, the feature which made Prius very appealing to a mass audience, according to Driving.

The new Prius boasts a 54 miles per gallon mileage for city driving, 50 miles per gallon on the highway and 52 miles per gallon combined. Toyota claims that the Prius is better than any other car without a plug.

Toyota also introduced a new Eco version for the 2016 Prius. The new Eco model boasts 56 miles per gallon mileage.

The changes and improvements made on the 2016 Prius hinge on practicality and frugality. Toyota also made sure that the new Prius is environmentally friendly. On top of that, the new Prius has a very appealing design that makes it look very attractive.

In a statement obtain by USA Today, Toyota group vice president Bill Fay said, "We'll be hoping to broaden our appeal a little bit."

The 2016 Prius is larger compared to the outgoing model. The five-door hatchback gained 2.4 inches in length and about half an inch in width. Stability was improved on the new model, thanks to the center of gravity which is now about an inch lower.

The 2016 Prius ditches the solar panels. Although it was an interesting idea to add the panels in the first place, it just didn't produce enough power to help the car in any way.

The new 2016 Toyota Prius costs $24,200 for the base model with an extra $835 charge for delivery. Should buyers opt in to choose the model with all the upgrades, it would cost $30,000.
