Green played college basketball with the Michigan States University from 2008 to 2012. He was a significant part of the collegiate team, helping the Spartans earn two Final Four appearances and a Big Ten Tournament championship in year 2012.

He was the 2012 NBA draft 35thoverall pick and in his four seasons with the Warrior. The 2012 Big Ten Player of the Year recorded his first career triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebound and 13 assists in their 126-105 victory against the Toronto Raptors on January 2 last year.

The former Spartan hotshot was a runner-up in the Most Improved Player Award and Defensive Player of the Year Award of the NBA for the 2014-2015 season. He was an integral part of the Golden States Warriors championship title last season, registering a triple-double game performance in Game number six of the NBA Finals.

Green became just the sixth player in the history of NBA to record a triple-double in an NBA Finals clinching game, along Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Tim Duncan and LeBron James.

The Dub's star is sixth in the league in assists registering an average of 7.4 assists per game, more the Curry's and better than LeBron James 6.4, according to Jeff Caplan of the Fox Sports.
