A potential trade between disgruntled Phoenix Suns power forward Markieff Morris and Orlando Magic's NBA journeyman Channing Frye is suggested as the latter had reportedly made their veteran stretch four available in this season's trading period.

Hoops Habit proposed the abovementioned scenario as the Suns are allegedly ready to move on from their deteriorating relationship with the 26-year-old Morris.

Last offseason, Morris expressed his disdain for the franchise after his twin brother, Marcus, was traded to the Detroit Pistons "without his knowledge". He then told reporters his desire to get traded and his plan to boycott attending Phoenix's training camp but has since mellowed down on both after the team did not give in to his request.

Morris has played 35 games this season so far for The Suns, averaging 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 24.3 minutes of play per night, a notable decrease from his production of 15.3 points and 6.2 boards in 31.5 minutes per game last season.

The NBA's trading deadline is less than two weeks away and a lot of big-name superstars in the league were already mentioned in recent rumors.

While a deal between Frye and Morris will definitely not be a headline-dominating news in the league, it is still significant with the Morris' current situation in Phoenix and the demand of stretch fours in today's NBA.

Frye, who is currently playing in his 10th NBA season, is reportedly on the Magic's trading block as head coach Scott Skiles looks to find a younger complement to his starting unit composed of Victor Olapido, Tobias Harris, and Elfrid Payton.

Fansided indicated that "there have been numerous calls to the Orlando front office asking about the 32-year-old Frye", which means that the noise he generates in NBA trade rumors these days is coming from the demand of other teams and not merely from the Magic's plan of trading him.

One league executive actually said that he is the one who "you will hear a lot more about before the deadline" as many teams are currently looking for that role player that could make a difference, especially those playoff-bound squads that wishes to have a deeper postseason run.

It was noted that a proof of the Magic's plan to deal Frye is his dwindling playing time. Frye has played less than 12 minutes in his last six games and was not used at all by Skiles in their 107-93 loss to the Clippers last Friday.
