Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi is reported to be the latest football star to change course to the East and leave the European league behind. The player had recently been linked with Premier League champions Chelsea club and Serie A's Inter Milan.

The Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint-Germain French manager Laurent Blanc has confirmed that the Argentine professional footballer Ezequiel Lavezzi appears to be ready to move to China.

According to ESPN, 30-year-old Lavezzi had been expected to see out the final few months of his contract at PSG before joining either the Roberto Mancini-head Inter Milan or the Stamford Bridge based Chelsea in the summer.

However, against all the expectations linking him with a move to either of the European clubs mentioned above, the former Napoli winger seems set to join the big-time spending Shanghai Shenhua.

The Argentine national team member is expected to receive a pay of something in the range of $11-to-15-million-per-year.
