'Action Comics No.1' is considered to be the issue which launched the superhero comic industry in the late 1930s after its release which featured Superman.

It broke the record of the highest comic book bid which has only been around US$2 million for another copy of the same issue. Said copy of 'Action Comics No. 1' was rumored to have been stolen from actor Nicolas Cage and was bought by an unknown buyer in 2011.

However, Darren Adams refuted the rumor, saying that he obtained his copy for seven figures a few years ago and has since then been turning down million-dollar offers for book.

The collector claimed that he has never really thought about the US$2 million bid, saying that there were just too many people who showed interest in the comic book.

The collector stated that he has been hoping for his copy of the 'Action Comics No. 1' to get more than US$3 million in bids. He got his wish with the highest bid surmounting to US$3,207,852.

Darren Adams has also claimed that the book is practically a museum piece on his interview with Comic Riffs.

There are only a few copies of 'Action Comics No. 1' in existence with only around seven of them in good condition, scoring only a grade higher than 6.0 from the Certified Guaranty Company.

On the other hand, Darren Adams' copy has gotten a rating of 9.0 which rarely applies to comic books that have existed since the 1930s.
