Christopher Nolan's next film Dunkirk will include One Direction band member Harry Styles.

Styles, 22, is said to have been offered a lead role in the World War II-related film, which is set to hit the theaters in 2017.

In the event that Styles accepts the proposal, he will co-star with a parade of other Brit icons such as 2016 Oscars nominee Tom Hardy, and 2016 Oscars winner for Best Supporting Actor, Mark Rylance. Fresh new stars like Fionn Whitehead, Aneurin Barnard, and Jack Lowden are also expected to join the cast.

Although the film's outfit , Warner Bros., refused to comment on Style's inclusion in the film, a reliable source who is working very close to the project says that everything is all set up for the singer including a reasonably high fee.

Dunkirk will be Styles debut in acting, although his first time at the big screen was in his band's documentary film One Direction: This Is Us shown in the cinemas in 2013. The documentary is said to have grossed a total of almost $70 million globally.

In Aug. 2015, Entertainment News disclosed Style's intention to hit the big screen. However, he was reportedly waiting for the right role. Fans have speculated that in case Dunkirk materializes for Styles, this could be the project he has been waiting for. Some, however, are apprehensive about the project considering the One Direction fame and fortune Styles is leaving behind.

The band has released a total of four albums since 2011. Each of their albums reached the top spot on the Billboard 200. A Forbes reports says that the band makes $125 million each year covering both its tours and album sales.
