Authorities arrested a 50-year-old San Diego pediatric nurse for allegedly molesting a two-month-old baby and creating child pornography, reports on Wednesday stated.

A Kaiser Permanente hospital pediatric nurse was taken into custody after the Federal Bureau of Investigation found videos of him abusing a two-month-old male infant placed under his care after being born prematurely on August 4.

Armed with a search warrant, FBI agents scoured Michael Lutts' home at Tierra Baja. They were able to find videos in his computer displaying the horrid pornographic scenes, in which the infant crying the whole time.

They also discovered an email address used by the 50-year-old suspect to send pornographic footages of children to another person suspected of distributing child pornography. Reports prior to the search indicated that he allegedly sent the emails containing the pornographic materials in December 2013. With the power vested on the warrant, federal agents seized the computer hard drive and compact discs containing hundreds of photos and videos of child pornography.

According to investigators, Lutts began molesting the two-month-old child after he was assigned as the foster parent for the baby boy. He was said to have documented the sexual acts using his cellphone.

Unfortunately, the phone's memory has been wiped out. However, officials stated that the footages found in his hard drives are enough evidence for the agents to arrest the pedophile on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the hospital where Lutts is employed has released a written statement indicating their full cooperation during the investigation.

"We have no information from law enforcement indicating any Kaiser Permanente patients were involved. The employee will not be returning to work pending the outcome of the investigation and any criminal proceeding," said the statement.

His position as a pediatric nurse led FBI agents to believe that they may have been other victims and urged them to come forward.

Lutts has been taken to federal prison in San Diego and is set to appear in court on Friday.
