Shanghai Disney Resort unveiled scrumptiously delicious photos of its special menu, promising a blend of Disney classic and Chinese taste.

Shanghai Disneyland attempts to localize its menu to satisfy the Chinese palate with restaurants serving a variety of food that is 70 percent Chinese and 30 percent a mix of international cuisines, said Shanghai Disneyland food and beverage supervisor Chen Deli.

To win not only the hearts but also the stomachs of its local guests, the resort will also offer special Disney-themed Shanghai foods. The menu will have foods such as Mickey Chocolate Tart, Donald Duck Waffle, Mickey Pork Cake, and Braised Port Knuckle in Dark soy sauce.

Other international selections are also available including Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Indonesian delicacies, as well as Western classics like hotdogs, pizza, and hamburgers.

Meanwhile, to ensure quality and safety, Chen said that 80 percent of the food will be prepared on the resort's massive 3,000 square-meter central kitchen before they are sent to different dining areas.

Furthermore, raw materials are traceable, and consumers are always welcome to inquire of its origin and suppliers, People's Daily reported. "All food will be fresh and safe," Chen said.

Vegetables, on the other hand, will be handled by machines, and manual washing is strictly not allowed. Also, pans and woks will be exclusively used to one type of dish only to preserve its delicate taste.

The resort is set to open its magical doors on June 16 this year. Meanwhile, thousands of Chinese Metro commuters on Tuesday braced the drizzling weather to get a glimpse of the new Disney-themed subway station on Line 11 as well as Disneyland's new business district Disneytown.
