Samsung Galaxy Note 6 to Feature Iris Scanner, Fingerprint Scanner Combo?; More Powerful Than Some Laptops

Good news to Samsung fanatics, as new details were revealed in regards to the specs of its much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 6.

It can be noted that prior to the release of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, rumors are already shaking the internet that the Korean-based tech giant will soon unveil a more powerful device called Samsung Galaxy Note 6 - the sixth installment of the company's Note series. It is said that this would be the best option to go for, in case consumers was not able to purchase any Galaxy S7 series.

To give additional treat to Samsung smartphone enthusiasts, fresh report claims that the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will feature a USB Type-C port. However, no clear details if this port will support USB 3.1 technology though, SamMobile reported.

Another juicy detail is that, the company is reportedly prepping up to launch an enhanced Gear VR headset, specifically to cater the use of Galaxy Note 6's new USB Type-C port.

Since Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is said to be released sometime in August, fans should expect it to be packed with 5.8-inch display supporting 2K resolution, 6GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 chipset, a 4,200mAh battery capacity and an impressive 256GB storage capacity, Gizmo China reported.

In addition to these killer specs, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to feature IP68 certification, which means that the device will be dustproof and waterproof. When it comes to its camera, it is said that Samsung is currently testing two Note 6 prototypes - one with a camera setup similar to Galaxy S7 and the other with infrared autofocus module.

Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will also be equipped with an iris scanner and 3D touch fingerprint scanner combo. If all the said specs will materialize, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may even be powerful than some of the laptops available in the market today.
