"Attack on Titan" Season 2's director, Tetsuro Araki, has yet to comment if the said screenshot information is true. Based on the same screenshot, another anime series directed by Araki will be released this year, titled "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," which is expected to air 12 full episodes.

It can be remembered that Araki confirmed during "Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow" premiere in 2015 that fans will see the return of Eren Yeager this year, though no specific date was mentioned.

Earlier this year, it was also reported that Araki and Hajime Isayama, original author of the manga series also known as "Shingeki no Kyojin," agreed to delay the production of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 as its manga counterpart lacks story arc to cover the entire second season. It is said that as of this moment, the manga series has only two story arcs, while four story arcs is needed to cover the whole second season.

With that said, it is highly unlikely that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be released this year, and fans of the anime series may need to wait a little longer than expected. The screenshot presented without number of episodes on it may also be an indication that the release may not happen. There is a possibility that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 was only listed to keep the hype on the series.
