Tech giant Google has announced its acquisition of startup company Synergyse. The startup is a small firm created in 2013 that develops training software for users of Google Apps. Synergyse also keeps its users up to-date regarding new features and provide advice on how to use them.

Both Google and Synergyse did not disclose the terms of their deal.

In a statement, Google said, "Given the enthusiasm that exists for Synergyse already, we want to extend this service to all of our customers. That is why we're happy to announce Synergyse will be joining Google, and we intend to make the product available as an integral part of the Google Apps offering later this year."

Currently, Synergyse customers can still retain usual access to the startup's services while Google is in the process of integrating it into its platform. However, as of this writing, customers are required to download a Google Chrome extension if they want to enjoy the training service provided by Synergyse.

Synergyse provides training services that users can view or listen to. The firm has a wide array of video, audio, and written tutorials on how to use Google Apps products like Google Slides and Google Docs. Synergy claims that more than four million people and 3,000 organizations have been using its service.

Many tech analysts have said that the acquisition will further boost Google's enterprise division. Google claims that it has at least two million customers paying for its enterprise apps.

Another interesting footnote to the acquisition is that Synergyse is a Google cloud customer. Google is seemingly looking to acquire startup companies that are already running on its own cloud, rather than those on rival services like Amazon and Microsoft.
