The 34th match of the ninth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2016) will be played between Suresh Raina's Gujarat Lions and David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday night. SRH' home ground Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad will host the T20 match.

The Gujarat franchise have been performing brilliantly in their first season of popular Indian cricket league. They have 3won six out of nine matches in IPL 2016. However, the Rajkot based team lost two previous games against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Delhi Daredevils (DD).

"If you are 3 for 20, losing three of your best batters upfront, you're going to be in trouble. Same (as) what happened the last game," coach Brad Hodge said after their loss against DD on Tuesday night. "In the last game against Kings, Axar (Patel) took a hattrick. Couple of balls didn't even turn. We lost three wickets in an over. And again (today), three wickets in seven balls with three of our best batters. Wickets in powerplay... something that we need to look at."

The Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, are on the fifth spot in the eight team standings with four victories in seven games. SRH's coach Tom Moody indicated that Yuvraj Singh may be included in the squad for thecrucial encounter against Lions.

"Yuvraj (Singh) is available and very much in our thoughts. We've watched all the matches but there's no point worrying about what other teams are doing," the former Aussie cricketer said.
