Middling teams Yanbian Funde FC (2-4-2, 8 points) and Chongqing Lifan FC (1-2-5, 8 points) are scheduled to face each other at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium on Sunday, May 15th for a ninth round 2016 Chinese Super League season match.

Yanbian Funde, last season's China League One winners, are at the 11th spot of the current league table as they are having a mercurial season so far in the China top flight competitions.

Their 2-0 victory over cellar-dwelling side Changchun Yatai FC also at their home stadium of Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Sunday snapped their three-game losing streak and got them back into winning form, via Soccerway.

South Korean striker Kim Seung-dae netted a double at the 14th and 74th minutes to lead manager Park Tae-ha's squad over the winless Changchun in their eighth round matchup.

Kim's first goal was assisted by compatriot Ha Tae-Goon while his second came off a cross by local defender Cui Min.

Meanwhile, Chongqing Lifan extended its winless performance to seven games as they settle at the ninth spot in the league table after eight rounds this term.

Chongqing was blanked by Guangzhou R&F FC, 0-2, last Saturday at the Yuexiushan Stadium to put a stop to their five consecutive drawn matches, as reported by Xinhuanet.

The Blue Lions' goals came from midfielder Tang Miao and forward Xiao Zhi at the 39th and 54th minutes respectively to hand head coach Chang Woe-ryong's boys their second loss this season.

Chongqing's last victory came during their season-opening triumph over defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande, 2-1, also at their home ground. It all went downhill after that for Lifan and so they will try to snag their second win against the newly-promoted club in this match.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 win for Yanbian Funde.
