Asian-American hoops star Jeremy Lin is really feeling the love in Hollywood since he was traded by the Houston Rockets to the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason. For the 26-year-old Lin, the trade that sent him to the purple-and-gold is truly a blessing.

After two subpar seasons in Houston, Lin will have a chance to prove his mettle with the Lakers under the tutelage of new head coach Byron Scott, who admitted that he's a fan of the guard's game.

Averaging 12 points and 4 dimes per game in a sixth man role last year, the former Harvard hot shot believed being a member of the Lakers marks a fresh start in his career, comparing it to a breath of fresh air.

"I'm definitely excited to be in LA," Lin told Lakers Nation during the unveiling of his wax figure art  at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. "How I describe it, it is a fresh start. It's a breath of fresh air to be able to start somewhere new."

"I think it'll be really fun, really challenging. I enjoyed my time in Houston, but I'm definitely focused in on next year."

With the Lakers, Lin is expected to compete for a starting role with two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, who will turn 41-years old in February. Moreover, the presence of power forward Carlos Boozer will make things much easier for Lin.

Picked up by the Lakers after he was amnestied by the Chicago Bulls, Boozer will help Lin become a more efficient pick-and-roll orchestrator because of his goods and ability to finish around the basket off this bread-and-butter play.

Of course, Lin will be tested throughout the course of the season. Injuries have been his problem during his two-year tenure with the Rockets, and staying healthy will key to a breakout year for him.

Then again, Lin stressed the pressure of living up to the hype created by Linsanity frenzy is already gone, as he looks forward to showcase his own brand of basketball in the City of Angels.
