Apple to Unveil MacBook Air 2016 at WWDC; MacBook Air 2016 13” Variant Slated Q3 2016 Release

Since Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 event draws near, rumors has it that Apple will finally release their new MacBook Air 2016 at the said event, along with the MacBook Pro 2016.

Economic Daily News reported that the tech giant is already producing their MacBook Air series that is slated to be unveiled during WWDC 2016, and may officially be released commercially by third quarter of the year. The said MacBook Air 2016 series will be packed with numerous changes; however, MacBook Air 2016 series may no longer have an 11-inch variant.

Although 11-inch variant will be discontinued, the company will make sure that the MacBook Air successors will be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors. In addition, the new MakBook Air 2016 will feature longer battery life for extended use, and the same goes for Apple's other laptop line - MacBook Pro 2016.

In terms with MacBook Air 2016's price range, it is speculated that the new device will be priced significantly higher than the 2015 model, though no official confirmation yet from Apple if this would be the case.

Meanwhile, in light of the rumors that Apple may not be releasing an 11-inch MacBook Air 2016, a credible analyst has a contradicting prediction. KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that a newer variant will be released and could replace the current 12-inch MacBook Air 2015 model. It is said that by Q3 2016, an 11-inch and 13-inch will be released, packed with speedy I/O technology, Touch ID fingerprint recognition technology, and more.

Apple has yet to comment whether rumors surrounding MacBook Air 2016 has a possibility to materialize.
