Professional adventure sportsman Jeb Corliss performed a heart-stopping stunt at the Great Wall of China on Sunday. The stunt saw him splitting a target suspended above the Wall. The 'Human Arrow' was armored with a wingsuit.

Corliss was dropped from a helicopter at 1,830 m (6,000 feet). He was flying through the air at a speed of 193 km per hour before hitting a white flag stretched between two poles over the Great Wall of China. The stuntman revealed that he had been planning the feat for ten years. He said that he felt 'relieved' and 'great' after performing the act.

The stunt was originally planned for Saturday, but it had to be rescheduled due to perilous winds. Corliss is a pro BASE jumper and a skydiver. Talking with NBC News, he said "I'm not about doing death-defying stuff anymore. That's not the point."

During his last stunt, Corliss soared through a 7.6-meter gap between two cliffs. He told Reuters that his stunt at the Great Wall was 'safer.'

"It is not just about me, I want other people to be entertained, I want other people to have fun and I want other people to be inspired," Corliss said. He also said that performing a stunt over the Great Wall was 'amazing,' as it is a symbol of a nation.

Corliss has previously performed various stunts at other landmarks such as Seattle's Space Needle, Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio Delaware Janeiro.
