The "World of Warcraft" the movie is now breaking pre-sales records in China even before its official release date.

Industry analysts estimate that the CGI-effects driven film's five-day launch might be able to pull in $100 million on the conservative end to a high of about $150M, according to Deadline.

The fantasy-adventure movie, which is based on Blizzard Entertainment's highly-popular massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) of the same title, makes its mainland debut on June 8.

The film's opening in China is two days ahead of its North American debut.

The scheduled release date of "World of Warcraft" movie in China is viewed as a savvy move on the part of Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures , as they take aim at the second largest box office market.

And if the initial estimates turn out to be accurate, Legendary burgeoning tie-up with China-based Wanda Group might turn out be a highly-lucrative undertaking.

Currently, the Duncan Jones-helmed fantasy film has posted the third-highest midnight pre-sales total of all time in the country, which is only behind "Furious 7" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

The Orcs and trolls have in fact outpaced "Captain America: Civil War's" $3.7M haul, which the latter earned a day before its actual opening.

There are even speculations that "The World of Warcraft" could outpace "Furious 7's" $391M total box office earnings which made it the highest-grossing movie in the Middle Kingdom to date.

It can be recalled that the Dalian Wanda Group acquired Legendary in a stunning $3.5B deal in January.

But even before the deal was formalized and release date for "World of Warcraft" was set, Wanda already pledged its muscle behind the film in September, as the company committed to use its vast PR network to promote and market "Warcraft."

Simply put, Wanda and the China Film Group's involvement in the film's will ensure that it will make a "big screen invasion."

"It will get the most showtimes from when it opens on Wednesday," said one industry watcher.

Although the movie is expected to be largely patronized by the male dominated, video-gaming crowd, the country's female fans may be convinced to go to the cineplexes because of local heartthrob Daniel Wu who appears in the film.

Moreover, "World of Warcraft" has 26 different Chinese brand partners who are actively involved in the movie's marketing, which is set to make its release date a spectacle in itself.
