Reports have also surfaced in local media that police have arrested three suspected gang leaders for duping more than 30 job seekers of 3 million Yuan ($460,000) by promising them lucrative jobs at the Shanghai Disney Resort, which opens its doors to the public on June 16.

A local taxi driver with the last name Li was the first to report the case to the police. Li claimed that he was lured by a recruitment advertisement in a newspaper and was promised a managerial position with a lucrative salary at the Disney resort, but the job later turned out to be a cleaner's position.

A local police information officer informed the media that one suspect, surnamed Xu, told police that she believed that she could easily make a fortune by promising fake jobs at Disneyland.

The Shanghai Disney Resort will open its door next week, and is expected to attract thousands of tourists from across China. The excitement for Shanghai Disney Resort, which is the first Disney Park in China, is reportedly huge among Chinese masses. Flight tickets to Shanghai city are also expected to skyrocket in the days leading up to the Disney Park's opening.
