Shanghai SIPG is coming off back-to-back encounters with two of the league's best teams in defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande and the new and improved Jiangsu Suning squad that has three big-name Brazilians as their imports.

The Red Eagles were able to hold the defending champions to a 1-1 tie during their round 11 encounter on the road, but they surrendered a 1-2 loss to Jiangsu in the most recent round right at their home field of Shanghai Stadium last Saturday, as per Goal.

A 20th-minute goal from former Chelsea midfielder Ramires from an assist by fellow Brazilian Alex Teixeira, both big-money signings for Jiangsu, opened the scoring for the visitors as they took a one-point advantage at the halftime break.

SIPG was able to find the equalizing goal two minutes after the hour mark as Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan, who was returning from a back injury, struck the ball past Jiangsu goalkeeper Gu Chao.

Another one of Jiangsu's Brazilian trio, forward Jô, scored the winning goal at the 68th to seal the win for his side and hand head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson's side their second loss in their last four outings following a five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Changchun Yatai was blanked by Beijing Guoan, 0-2, at the Workers' Stadium on Sunday as they remained at the bottom of the league table, via Soccerway.

The loss snapped Changchun's surprising two-game winning run as they fell back to the last spot of the current league table.

The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Shanghai SIPG.
