Adam Levine Offers to Pay for ‘The Voice’ Contestant Christina Grimmie’s Funeral

Following the death of Christina Grimmie on Friday, Adam Levine reached out to the family of the late Voice contestant and offered to pay for funeral expenses. Christina's brother, Marcus, made the revelation on Facebook on Sunday.

Adam Levine coached Christina Grimmie on the sixth season of The Voice in 2014. She ended up in third place.

Marcus, Christina's brother, said that the Maroon 5 front man called their mother on Sunday and offered to pay for Christina's funeral and plane flight. Marcus was stunned by the generous offer.

Adam Levine took out to Twitter to share a sweet selfie of him and Christina. He expressed that he and his wife Behati Prinsloo were devastated about Christina's passing.


Christina's manager, Brian Teefey, has also set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for the singer's funeral expenses. In less than 72 hours after she passed away, the website has raised more than $100,000. Christina's family is speechless for the overflowing support for his family.

Christina Grimmie's Untimely Death

US Weekly reported that the YouTube sensation was shot several times by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl after her show in Orland on Friday, June 10. Christina Grimmie was signing autographs after her performance at the Plaza Live theatre when the tragic incident happened.

Loibl, later on, shot himself dead. The gunman was found with two handguns, ammunition, and a large hunting knife.

Orlando police say that Christina did not know the Loibl. A few hours after Christina was rushed to the hospital, she passed away.
