Hebei China Fortune, last season's China League One runners-up and newly-promoted this term, is having a great season so far. The team is currently at the second spot of league table, five points behind league leaders and five-straight defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande.

One of the main reasons is their outstanding lineup of imports, namely Ivorian forward Gervinho, Argentine striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, Cameroonian midfielder Stephane M'Bia, French winger Gael Kakuta, and Turkish defender Ersan Gulum. All five are in top form this term which translated in good performances for manager Li Tie's boys.

After a four-game winning run that saw them pass Jiangsu Suning for second place, the Samba Kings were held into a 2-2 draw by Shanghai Shenhua on Wednesday also at their home stadium, via Soccerway.

Lavezzi was not available during the game as he is presently with the Argentina national squad that is competing in the ongoing 2016 Copa America Centenario. He will again miss this match versus Tianjin Teda.

Meanwhile, the Tianjin Tigers were again defeated by Guangzhou Evergrande, 0-2, at the Tianhe Stadium on Tuesday in their second meeting of the season, which snapped Tianjin's six-game unbeaten streak, as per China.org.

Australian defender Aleksandar Jovanovic's own goal in the first half gave Guangzhou their first point in the contest. Evergrande midfielder Ricardo Goulart then scored at the 53rd to make it a 2-0 lead for the Southern China Tigers.

This match is expected to be a close one as both Hebei and Tianjin are performing well so far in the season.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 decision for Hebei China Fortune.
