Jiangsu Suning is coming off a 0-2 loss in the hands of defending champions and current league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC at the Tianhe Stadium last Friday, China.org reported.

Guangzhou's Brazilian imports Ricardo Goulart and Alan Carvalho each scored a goal in the contest, at the 24th and 28th minutes respectively, to bury the visitors early in the match.

Interim head coach Tang Jing still handled the team against the Southern China Tigers as new Jiangsu manager Choi Yong-soo is set for his debut game in this match against Liaoning.

Jiangsu remained at the third spot of the league table even with the defeat and stayed only one point away from second-running squad Hebei China Fortune in the overall standings after the Samba Kings dropped their round 15 game as well.

Meanwhile, Liaoning Whowin extended its winning run to three games after they routed Guangzhou R&F FC, 3-1, at the Tiexi New District Sports Center in Shenyang on Sunday, as per Football Australia.

Zambian striker James Chamanga scored twice in the match at the 33rd and 75th minutes to lead manager Ma Lin's side to the inspiring victory.

Chamanga opened the scoring with a penalty kick midway through the first half to enter the break with a one-point advantage.

Liaoning's Congolese defender Assani Lukimya then doubled the lead at the 54th minute before Chamanga netted his second goal of the afternoon with 15 minutes left in regulation.

The Blue Lions managed to score a consolation right at the stroke of full time, courtesy of local defender Zeng Chao.

Jiangsu is favored to win this one and snap Liaoning's three-game winning streak.

The predicted result is a 2-0 win for Jiangsu Suning.
