Sinking squad Tianjin Teda FC (5-6-7, 22 points) are scheduled to square off with cellar dwellers Changchun Yatai FC (3-11-4, 13 points) at the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium this Wednesday, July 20 as the second half of the 2016 Chinese Super League season moves forward.

Tianjin Teda has dropped to the 10th spot of the 16-team China top flight table after going on a six-game winless spell in the Chinese first division association football competitions. Their last win was more than five weeks ago, a 1-0 nipping of newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde at home.

Since then it has been a downward spiral for head coach Dragan Okuka's squad as they seek to get back to their winning ways in this match versus Changchun.

The Tianjin Tigers are coming off a high-scoring 2-3 loss to Guangzhou R&F on the road at the Yuexiushan Stadium last Saturday, as per Sofa Score.

Tianjin opened the scoring at the seventh minute with a penalty kick from Fredy Montero, but it was quickly leveled by Guangzhou newcomer Eran Zahavi five minutes later.

A penalty kick from Renatinho gave the Blue Lions the lead at the 39th before Tianjin striker Mbaye Diagne equalized it again during the first half stoppage time.

Finally, Zahavi scored his second goal of the contest one minute before full time to snatch the game and three points away from the visitors, handing them their fourth loss in their last six games.

Meanwhile, Changchun Yatai succumbed to their third straight loss as they were nipped by league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande, 1-2, at their home field of Development Area Stadium last Sunday, via Xinhuanet.

Defender Anzur Ismailov netted the opening goal for manager Lee Jang-soo's side at the 29th minute, but two late goals from Evergrande midfielder Zheng Long completed the defending champs' come-from-behind win.

Both teams are struggling to find wins during the last few weeks, but Tianjin does not have problems putting in goals while Changchun does. If Yatai will be able to make it a defensive-minded game, then they have a chance. If not, then the Tigers will come away with the victory.

The predicted result is a high-scoring 3-2 win for Tianjin Teda.
