Chinese Super League 2016: Liaoning Whowin vs Shanghai SIPG, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

(Photo : Getty Images) Shanghai SIPG is set to meet Liaoning Whowin at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Saturday in a 2016 Chinese Super League season encounter.

Mercurial clubs Liaoning Whowin FC (5-7-6, 21 points) and Shanghai SIPG FC (9-4-6, 33 points) are scheduled to clash at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium on July 23, Saturday in a 2016 Chinese Super League season encounter.

The two teams had been inconsistent with their plays during their past few performances as both have wins, losses, and draws in their previous five matches.

Their most recent match was a 1-2 loss to reeling contenders Henan Jianye FC at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium on Wednesday, as per Soccerway.

Henan opened the match with a brace from Filipino striker Javier Patiño at the second and eighth minutes to charge early with a two-point lead.

The visitors were able to answer nine minutes later with a remarkable individual goal from midfielder Jin Taiyan, but both teams went scoreless for the rest of the game.

Meanwhile, Shanghai SIPG survived a tough challenge from Chongqing Lifan FC, 5-3, at their home field of Shanghai Stadium also on Wednesday for their third win in four games after going on a five-game winless slide, via Sofa Score.

An own goal from Chongqing defender Luo Qin in the 14th minute opened the scoring in favor of the hosts before Wu Lei doubled the lead at the 26th.

Three straight goals from Lifan after the restart, courtesy of Emanuel Gigliotti at the 47th and a double from Wang Dong at the 63rd and 69th, gave the lead to Chongqing.

However, Dario Conca equalized the game at the 77th before Wu scored the winner, his second goal of the contest, right at the stroke of full time to snatch the three points in the standings in favor of the Massive.

The predicted result is a 3-1 victory for Shanghai SIPG.
