Resurging contenders Jiangsu Suning FC (10-4-5, 35 points) and Henan Jianye FC (8-7-4, 28 points) are set to square off at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on Sunday, July 24 for a 2016 Chinese Super League season match.

Jiangsu Suning were reeling with two straight losses before their crushing 4-0 win over Hebei China Fortune FC also at their home stadium in Nanjing on Wednesday, as per Soccerway.

Newly-acquired Colombian striker Roger Martinez scored a brace to spearhead manager Choi Yong-soo's men in their four-goal haul and at the same time shutout of one of this season's favorite teams.

Martinez opened the scoring at the 12th minute off an assist by Brazilian winger Alex Teixeira before team captain Wu Xi doubled the lead at the 23rd with an individual move.

The scoring resumed in the second half with Martinez netting his second one 12 minutes after the restart from a pass by midfielder Ji Xiang while Australian defender Trent Sainsbury buried the team's fourth goal at the 70th with another assist from Teixeira.

The win was only Jiangsu's second in their last three outings as they remain at the second spot of the league table, 10 points below league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.

Meanwhile, Henan Jianye also snapped their two-game losing slide with a close 2-1 victory over Liaoning Whowin FC at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium also on Wednesday, Football Australia reported.

A quick double by Filipino striker Javier Patiño at the second and eighth minutes put the Red Devils ahead buy two-points early in the match while Liaoning midfielder Jin Taiyan cut lead in half at the 17th with an individual goal.

However, the two teams remained scoreless the rest of the match as head coach Jia Xiuquan's side finally notched a win in three weeks.

The predicted result is a 3-1 rout for Jiangsu Suning to commence a new winning run.
