Hong Kong-born Hollywood star Jackie Chan has returned to Sydney, Australia to start shooting for his new movie called "Bleeding Steel."

His new project, which also stars Australian actor Tess Haubrich, is a futuristic sic-fi thriller film wherein the 62-year-old Chinese superstar will play the role of a special-forces agent who will do his best to protect a woman from the hands of a team of criminals.

On Saturday, The Daily Telegraph reported that Jackie Chan arrived on Mountain St a little past 9 A.M. and immediately joined the film's cast and crew, including those who double for them in scenes where a number of stunts are being filmed.

While on the set, a rushing Audi vehicle was seen rushing down to Mountain St while cameras were rolling, but as midday came, a black Mercedes van picked up the former "Rush Hour" actor and brought him to Bent St.

It was noted that the actor is not new to the Land Down Under since he lived in Canberra for a while in the 70s and visited Melbourne in the mid-90s to film "Mr. Nice Guy."

In the meantime, China Film Insider reported that Jackie Chan's another film, the newly-released Chinese-language "Skiptrace," has the potential to rake in gross sales of $150 million this summer as it enjoyed a CFI score of 7.5/10.

The film is directed by Finnish Renny Harlin who was behind other famous Hollywood films like "Die Hard 2" and "Cliffhanger."

Along with Jackie Chan, "Skiptrace" also stars Johnny Knoxville,  who is famous for "Jackass" film, and Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing .
