Chinese Super League 2016: Beijing Guoan vs Hangzhou Greentown, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

(Photo : Getty Images) Hangzhou Greentown will visit Beijing Guoan at their home ground of Workers’ Stadium on Friday for a 2016 Chinese Super League match.

Middling team Beijing Guoan FC (6-5-6, 24 points) is set to host mercurial squad Hangzhou Greentown FC (6-10-4, 22 points) at their home ground of Workers' Stadium on Friday, July 29 as the second half of the 2016 Chinese Super League season continues.

Beijing Guoan is supposed to have a match with newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde also at the Workers' Stadium in Wednesday last week but it was postponed due to weather disturbances in the country's capital city.

Head coach Xie Feng's side last played on July 16, in a 1-0 upset win over fourth-running team Hebei China Fortune FC at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium, which snapped the team's two-game winless slide, China.org reported.

An own goal from Hebei defender Ding Haifeng right at the second minute provided the winner for the Imperial Guards as both teams went scoreless the rest of the way.

Guoan is currently settled at the 10th spot of the league table, only six points above the bottom two relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Hangzhou Greentown has been playing inconsistently in the past few weeks mainly because of the recent import changes the team had went through.

The Green Giants most recent assignment ended in a 3-1 victory over reeling team Tianjin Teda FC at the Jinhua Sports Center last Saturday, as per Sofa Score.

Newly-acquired import Sammir, who came on half-year loan for from Jiangsu Suning on July 15, led the team with a brace to score three goals in his first three appearances for head coach Hong Myung-bo's squad.

The Croatian attacking midfielder broke the game's deadlock during the first half injury time to give the hosts a one-point advantage at the break.

Tianjin's Li Yuanyi equalized the game at the 78th, but Denilson Gabionetta gave the lead back to Hangzhou at the 82nd.

Sammir scored his second goal of the night in the second half stoppage time to seal the win.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Hangzhou Greentown.
