Orbital ATK Successfully Launches new Antares Rocket

Antares, from American aerospace manufacturer Orbital ATK, was successfully launched from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Wallops Flight Facility based in Virginia on Monday. This is the first flight for the Antares rocket since October 2014 when its predecessor exploded just seconds after liftoff.

Launch Pad Damaged by Antares Rocket to Be Up and Running in Late 2015

The Virginia Commercial Spaceflight Authority (VCSA) says that the burned launch pad is expected to be back up and running by late 2015 and cost of repair will be less than US$20 million.
