China Fights Smog and Pollution by Building Coal Plants

China’s odd way of fighting urban smog and pollution involves building coal-fired power plants that turn coal into methane to replace the dirtier fuels used to power homes and produce energy, but this method could increase the country’s carbon emissions and affect the country and the rest of the world’s environment.
