China and United States are tied at the top spot for the numbers of supercomputers with 171 systems each. However, China leads the pack as two of its supercomputers are at the top of the rankings. China's Sunway TaihuLight holds the first position with its 93 petaflops while the second spot is held by Tianhe-2 with 34 petaflops specification.
