The International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol said it's opening a new digital center in Singapore to help boost its worldwide campaign against cybercrime.
The new digital center will be equipped with the latest tools and techniques to support and defend member countries from cyberattacks.

The center will also focus on sharing critical information with the private sector.
Interpol currently operates from a support office in Singapore and will later move to a new building called the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) by April 2015.
Troels Oerting, head of Europol's European Cybercrime Center, said the wide reach of the Internet poses a great risk to all countries.
The world's first and second largest economies, the U.S and China, frequently exchange accusations of industrial and cyber espionage.
The Chinese government recently launched an investigation into U.S technology companies operating on its soil.
Taiwan's government is also currently examining China's smartphone maker company Xiaomi following recent reports that some of its phones automatically send user data back to its servers.
"Cybercrime is a truly transnational crime in nature," said Noboru Nakatani, executive director of Interpol's Global Complex for Innovation.
"It is a huge challenge to law enforcement, even the wealthy countries have limited resources to deal with cyber-crime."
Computer security specialists said developed Asian countries such as Japan, Taiwan and South Korea are particularly susceptible to these attacks.
