Last month, the multi-titled Malaysian badminton player suffered a quarterfinal round defeat against the Frenchman Brice Leverdez at the Yonex Denmark Open due to a hamstring injury. Lee, later on, pulled out in the recently concluded Yonex French Open after failing to recover from the said injury.

"Chong Wei is currently training for that two tournament around his injury," said Frost. "As he is still recovering from his hamstring injury, we will evaluate his overall condition before making the final decision."

Lee remains on top of the latest world ranking results. According to the official website of the BWF, the Malaysian badminton superstar has garnered a total of 93,503 ranking points in the 12 tournaments that he took part this season. Lee still holds a comfortable lead of 16,639 ranking points over current world No. 2 Chen Long of China and 21,195 ranking points ahead of his longtime arch rival and the present third-ranked Chinese Lin Dan.

Lee is the defending champion of the two upcoming BWF World Super Series events. He claimed the title at the 2015 China Open after beating Chen Long and bagged the Hong Kong Open crown by defeating Tian Houwei of China.

According to BadmintonPlanet, the China Open will run from November 15 till November 20 while the Hong Kong Open will commence on November 22 and will end on November 27.
