The Indiana Pacers are reportedly looking to trade veteran shooting guard Monta Ellis and a reunion with his former coach Frank Vogel in Orlando could happen soon according to the latest trade rumors.

Indiana has been playing inconsistently as of late despite having a lot of available talent in their roster, such as All-Stars Paul George and Jeff Teague.

The Pacers are currently in the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 10-11 record, five games behind conference leaders Cleveland Cavaliers. They have lost two of their last three games, including a humiliating 142-106 loss to the Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena on Monday night.

With their recent struggles, Bleacher Report indicated that Indiana is "open to moving Ellis" as the team reportedly feels that trading the 11-year pro will not affect their current core.

Ellis, who turned 31 last month, had been a 20-point scorer earlier in his career, but with George and 20-year-old Myles Turner currently the focal point of the Pacers' offense, he is now seen by the club as a valuable trade asset.

Ellis is only in the second year of his four-year, $44 million deal with Indiana, which will make him an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2019. This means that whichever team that acquires him will be able to keep him for at least two seasons.

Inquisitr reported that the Orlando Magic currently needs to add a scorer and Ellis fits the bill as he can provide instant offense for the South Florida squad. The report also mentioned that Ellis' history with Magic boss Vogel could be a key factor that would open the two teams to pull off a trade.

The Magic's current trade assets are Jeff Green, Serge Ibaka, Jodie Meeks, CJ Wilcox, and CJ Watson, but it is not yet clear which player the Pacers would ask in return.

Orlando's need for more firepower will certainly be solved by Ellis while unloading the veteran guard will allow the Pacers to re-tool their wing lineup.
