Faraday Future's electric car is built using the now widely accepted "skateboard" platform for electric cars. Using this platform, the batteries are stored on the car's floor and an electric motor is mounted on one or both axles, depending on the configuration.

There are skepticisms regarding Faraday Future's recent revelation. A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that the company was behind the payment to the construction company that built its production facility in Nevada, according to Motor Authority. The plant costs about $1 billion to build. There are also rumors that Faraday Future will not be able to hit its planned production start date in 2017.

There are rumors claiming that the recent reveal from the company is just a stage to bring back investors' confidence to the company.

During this year's Consumer Electronics Show, Faraday Future unveiled its prototype platform called the VPA. The company unveiled its FFZERO1 electric supercar concept, which has 1,000 horsepower, according to CNet. In developing its electric cars, Faraday Future opened a partnership agreement with LG Chem, which will develops and manufactures batteries for the auto company.
