The Minnesota Timberwolves, helmed by big man Karl-Anthony Towns, managed to snatch a win against highly favored Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. Anchored by Towns' double-double performance, the Wolves won the match, 92-84.

Despite lacking in superstar status and having only eight players on rotation, the Wolves displayed an impressive performance extending their winning streak to two consecutive games. The Wolves are 9-19 with almost a quarter of the season done, but many analysts said that they should be able to have a legitimate shot at a playoff spot if they maintain their pace. The Hawks failed to maintain its .500 win percentage after it dropped to 14-15 with the recent loss.
